Shortly after 3 p.m. yesterday a fire was reported in rural Ainsworth. According to the safety center, it was reported that a controlled burn jumped the creek and spread to a cornfield at 2890 192nd Street. The resident of the home advised the fire was near the LP tank. The fire was extinguished. Ainsworth Fire, Riverside Fire, Washington Fire and Crawfordsville fire responded to the scene.
