The 1A wrestlers at state wrestled later last night, and here are their results.
For Highland, all three wrestlers won their first match, with Drew West winning by fall over Jeremiah Colon, Bryce West winning by fall over Guy Sudmann, and Travis Cole winning by fall over Garrett Sayler.
Sigourney-Keota saw all four of their wrestlers fall in the first round, and had Nathan Fritz, Lane Boender and Tucker Fowler end their season, by falling in the consolation bracket as well. Bryce Brown at 286 stayed alive by beating Kyler Schott by fall.
Wapello got both of their wrestler through in the championship bracket, with Jack Walker at 113 winning by fall, and Ryley Howell winning a close 2-1 decision at 285 to move on.
