The Mid-Prairie girls basketball team will play their first round of the playoffs tonight, after having Saturday’s game postponed.
The Golden Hawks come into the game at 10-9, and scoring 41.6 points per game, and making 38.5 percent of their shots from the floor and 30 percent from three-point range. The Golden Hawks will look to team leader Taylor Kurtz to have a big game with her 12.8 points per game. Alex Rath has stepped up as of late to fill in for the injured Ali Riggan, and will also need to have a solid game for Mid-Prairie to move on.
Central Lee is 13-7 and scoring 49.4 points per game, and hitting 33 percent of their shots from the floor. They have a pretty strong starting five, with Kelsey Bryant out front with 12.2 points per game, and Hayley Edwards in second with 10.5 points per game. Regan Shockley also helps in the scoring with 9.8 points per game.
