The drought conditions continue across Iowa. Most of Washington County is in a moderate drought, as is all of Henry, Louisa and Jefferson counties. Most of Keokuk, Iowa and Johnson counties are in a severe drought. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, 23.4% of the state is not experiencing drought conditions, while at the same time last year the entire state was experiencing drought conditions.
