The price to rent Wellman’s Banquet Hall might be adjusted to cover the associated costs. Wellman City Administrator Nick Pacha says the council is considering increasing the all day rental cost at the Parkside Activity Center from $550 to $600. He says they’re comparing their rental rate with that of the Catholic Church in Richmond and hotels in Iowa City. He adds they need to be able to cover their costs for things like cleaning up afterwards, electricity, and maintenance.
