PAWS and More Animal Shelter in Washington is having their holiday open house and adoptathon this Saturday. Amber Talbot, director of the shelter explains that their primary goal is to get the animals homes for the holidays. She adds that if someone is considering a pet as a gift this holiday season, make sure that everyone involved is completely on board.
This weekend’s open house will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday with some reduced adoption fees, same day adoptions and applications will be taken.
Talbot adds that the shelter will be open late on Christmas Eve. For those interested in helping the shelter but cannot take a pet home, Talbot says that they are needing toys and scratching posts for the animal as well as canned food. The shelter will also be open Sunday.
