Fundraisers are underway for the new Washington High School Auditorium project. Jan Gallagher, with the fundraising committee explains that at this time the group has raised over $4.5 million for the auditorium and they are hoping to collect another $200,000 from the community this month. Also, the group has applied for grants to help fund the project.

She adds that if grants are awarded and fundraising continues, the project could break ground as early as next summer.
