The mitten tree is up and accepting donations in the Washington Public Library. Debbie Stanton, director of the library states that hats, scarves, mittens and gloves are welcomed items. She says it is nice to receive handmade items because many kids do not get such items normally. Donations will be accepted until December 13th, they will then be given to HACAP and distributed to families in the community before Christmas.
