Plans are underway for Washington’s 175th Celebration which will be held in June. An Alumni band will perform as part of the celebration on the last day, June 8th. A 2001 Washington High School graduate, George Marie, is composing a piece for the band to play.

Marie is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Utah and is working towards a PhD in musical compostion. He is the son of Tom and Linda Marie of Washington.
