A motion has been filed to lower Seth Techel’s bond.According to the Iowa Attorney General’s Office, Techel’s defense filed the motion earlier this week requesting that the judge hold a hearing to amend the conditions of his release. Specifically to have his $750,000 cash only bond dropped to $75,000. Last week, Techel’s case ended in another mistrial, after a Henry County jury failed to come to a verdict. His charges of first degree murder and nonconsensual termination of a pregnancy stem from the shooting death of his wife in May 2012.
