The planned industrial park in Wayland has received financial assistance. According to Secretary and Treasurer for the Wayland Economic Development Corporation, Bob Meyer, they’re using a $400,000 loan to buy 60 acres east of Wayland on Highway 78 for the new industrial park. The funding comes from Access Energy Cooperative’s Revolving Loan Fund. $300,000 of that funding was made possible by a USDA Rural Economic Development grant. The loan is interest free, and will need to be paid back in ten years.
