Columbus Junction residents will have a chance to look at the proposed updates to the city’s zoning ordinance this week. Mallory Smith, director of the Community Development Center, says the biggest change is the addition of a low-density, multi-family zoning district, that limits the number of families per building to four. The current ordinance only has two residential designations; single family dwelling or multiple. The public hearing on the ordinance amendment is being held at Wednesday’s city council meeting.
