Fairfield held a cross country meet last night that many area schools attended.

Here are the results from the meet for the larger schools.

Washington finished fifth on the girl’s side with 162 points, while the winner was Mt. Pleasant with 36 points.

Top runner for the Washington girl’s was Emme Keith with a time of 18:23 placing her 20th. Other placers for the girl’s were Mariah Howard in 31st in 19:19, Stephanie Loy in 32nd in 19:27, Maggie Voss in 39th in 22:08 and Stephanie Fishback was 40th in 22:19.

On the boy’s side Washington was sixth with 165 points, while Ft. Madison won the meet with 28 points.

Top runner for the boy’s was Austin Latchem in 23rd in 19:27 and Curtis Vest in 24th in 19:28. Other placers for Washington were Owen Horak in 35th in 20:44, Luke Brown in 41st in 21:41 and Jiovanni Tapia in 42nd in 21:55.

In the small school competition for the girl’s side, Pekin won the meet with 20, while Lone Tree was fourth. Lone Tree was led by Paige Doehrmann in 11th place with a time of 17:53. Other schools there and their top finisher were IMS with Renee Buckwalter in 14th in 18:07, Highland with Morgan Welsh in 29th in 20:10 and WMU was led by Grace Edwards in 31st in a time of 20:17.

On the boy’s side Wapello won the meet with 55, Highland was third with 82, WMU was fourth with 95 and IMS was seventh with 191.

Top runner for Highland was Evan Mahler who won the meet in a time of 16:49, top runner for WMU was Johnathan Quinn in 10th place with a time of 18:03, top ruinner for IMS was Kirby Shetler in sixth place in a time of 17:40 and Lone Tree was also at the meet, and their top runner was Ross Swinton in eighth place in 17:45.
