Unofficial results from yesterday’s school board elections are in. Heidi Vittetoe and Patty Roe won their uncontested races in the Washington School District elections, and Terry Engelken received enough write in votes to take District 2. According to County Auditor, Dan Widmer, Engelken now has to decide if he wants the position.

In the Mid-Prairie School District, Jeremy Statler, Jim Hussey and Stacia Bontrager were elected to four year terms. Jeremy Pickard will fill out the rest of the term he was appointed to earlier this year.

In the Highland elections, Laura Temple Scheetz received more votes than Megan Allen in the only contested race of the night; while Lois Schneider, Kevin Engel and Rachel Longbine were elected to represent their respective districts.

There was also a public measure on yesterday’s ballot, which asked voters if they would allow Kirkwood Community College to levy a tax on taxable property beginning with the fiscal year starting July 1st, 2015. The measure passed.
