The grape harvest is underway in southeast Iowa. Co-owner of Wooden Wheel Vineyard, Mike Vincent, says they’re a couple weeks into harvest and have a few more to go. He explains the cool, rainy spring and dryer weather this summer was good for the grapes, although more rain would have been helpful. Now in their fourth growing season, Vincent expects to have enough grapes this year to produce 10,000 bottles of wine.
