Emergency haying and grazing of land enrolled in the USDA’s Conservation Reserve Program has been given an extension. Prompted by drought conditions, approval of emergency haying of CRP acres in Washington and Iowa counties was announced late last month. Farmers can now take advantage of this until September 20th. Producers must contact their FSA office and receive permission before taking any action.
