A two vehicle accident in Washington yesterday resulted in an arrest. The collision occurred at the intersection of East Washington and South 4th Avenue with no reported injuries. Thirty-one-year-old Wesley Andrew Jones of Red Bay, Alabama, was arrested on a warrant out of Alabama for probation violation escape with the original charge of dangerous drugs. He was also charged locally with failure to yield at a stoplight and no insurance.

Joan Hippen of Washington was the driver of the other vehicle involved.
