An accident this past weekend in Johnson County involving a Kalona resident resulted in a fatality. At around 9pm Saturday night, a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Judith Miller of Kalona was westbound on Highway 6 near Sturgis Corner Drive, when it struck 52-year-old Gregory Bowker of Iowa City, who was crossing the highway. Bowker was transported to University of Iowa Hospital, where he later died. The crash remains under investigation.
