The United States Department of Agriculture has designated 39 counties as part of a Presidential Major Disaster Designation. There are 19 primary counties including Iowa, Johnson, Keokuk and Muscatine counties, as well as 20 contiguous counties that include, Washington, Henry, Louisa and Mahaska counties. This designation makes Emergency Loans available to eligible family farmers, to determine eligibility contact local county FSA offices.
