Work at Lake Darling State Park is being delayed by our wet spring. According to Chad Dolan, Iowa Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Biologist, dredging will begin as soon as the lake bed dries out. The work was delayed initially by permitting issues with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Dolan says the entire project, including the campground renovation, could be done as early as this fall.
