The KCII Severe Weather Action Team (SWAT) went into action this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. for a severe weather storm warning in Washington County. The warning was extended to 4:45 p.m. and lifted. The warning was for Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Keokuk, Louisa and Washington counties. The radar indicated storm moved northeast at approximately 60 miles per hour and produced rain and strong winds in the area.

One listener reported trees blown over near Conesville. And tree damage was reported in Brighton, near City Hall.

A tornado watch continues for the listening area until 8 p.m. this evening. And a flashflood watch is in effect for the listening area until Saturday morning.
