The Washington Tree Committee will be having its 23rd Tree Giveaway next Saturday, April 20th at 8 a.m. Approximately, 120 trees will be handed out, including small ornamental trees, medium sized trees, and evergreens. Linda Varney with the Washington Tree Committee says that over the 23 years the committee has given more than 9,000 trees. Also, she reminds residents to call 811 before digging.
