Earth Day is two weeks away, often celebrated on April 20th; however the Washington Public Library Teen Advisory Board is hosting an event today. Pasoari Widiastuti, a foreign exchange student from Indonesia, along with the board invites all 4th through 12th grade students to attend. The event will include an environmental video, a vegan snack and attendees will sign a fabric petition for the earth. The event is part of the Global Youth Service Project which aims to create environmental awareness among youth.
