A recent blood drive at WACO High School helped with Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center’s efforts to restock supplies. Christine Heyd with MVRBC says blood drive cancellations and low turn out because of the weather over the last month has led to a drop in units.  She says the storms arrived at a time when the blood supply was already low due to the severity of this year’s flu season, which affected turnout at many blood drives. 43 units were donated at WACO’s blood drive last week.
