Washington Economic Development Group (WEDG) is reminding local citizens of the possibility to serve on appointed state commissions. The Governor and Lt. Governor appoint members to over 160 boards and commissions with openings available annually. Currently five individuals from Washington County are serving with these groups. Steve Berger is part of the Judicial Nominating Commision, Tricia Lipski is part of the Civil Rights Commission, Larry Marek serves as part of the Agricultural Education Council, John Mikelson is involved with the Vocational Rehabilitation Council and Deb Stanton serves on the STEM Advisory Board.
