New jobs numbers from the Iowa Workforce Development show a steady three-point-six percent unemployment rate for Washington County.  Washington Economic Development Group Executive Director Ed Raber says that Washington County historically has a high percent of the population that’s in the workforce compared with neighboring counties.  Along with what he calls a rebound in manufacturing, other industries like agriculture and healthcare have provided a steady center for employment through the last few years of a national economic slowdown.
