The Washington Demon volleyball team is making its second trip around the conference, this time heading to Mt. Pleasant.

Washington is 8-10, and 1-3 in the conference, and in their first conference match-up Mt. Pleasant beat Washington 3-0, but not without the Demons putting up a fight, including a seven point swing throughout the game to force extra points.

The Demons average 8.8 kills per set, but are efficient just .105 of the time. Washington does average 22.87 digs per set on defense.

The Panthers are 3-1 in the conference, and average 11.14 kills per set, and 2.93 aces.

Head coach Jeff Spenner says Mt. Pleasant hasn’t changed much, the Demons just have to play harder.

“I really don’t think there is anything different now, we faced them twice,” Spenner said. “They’re just a really aggressive team, their good at serving, they’re good at changing up their attack a little bit, we just have to focus on playing better.”

The Demons and Panthers meet up tonight in Mt. Pleasant at 7:30.
