A work session was held last night to discuss issues happening in the city of Washington. The City Council passed a resolution to establish a new cable commission fund and to make appointments to that commission. A presentation of city finances was given on the status of the expenditures in the budget and how many accounts can “be in the red” after the first month of the fiscal year.
Discussion about limited sight intersections and parking spaces took place and more investigation will need to be conducted regarding the ones in question. The Council also talked about planning services for a wellness park. Action will be taken at next week’s meeting regarding the future status of that project.
