Unemployment figures in Washington County are showing no change based on information released yesterday.  The totals for July from the Iowa Workforce Development reveal more than 11,300 people are in the labor force, and 4.2% of the people in the county are out of work and seeking employment.

Washington County Economic Development Group Director Ed Raber says that figure can create a challenge for both employers and people looking for work in the area.

Overall, unemployment rates in Iowa increased by two-tenths of a percent still remaining three percentage points lower than national figures.
