Lone Tree’s football team will look to continue their success from last year, into this year as they qualified for the state quarterfinals and finished second place in the district with a 12-2 record behind state champions Lisbon.

Lone Tree did lose seven seniors, but Lisbon lost more than 10 seniors this year, and was the only team the Lions lost to.

The Lions will open their season on August 24th against Mediapolis at home before going to North Tama and WACO.

The Lions will hold their Homecoming against WMU on September 28th, and play two more away games before capping off the season with a grudge match against Lisbon on October 19th to end their regular season at home.
