The Washington City Council is set to adopt an ordinance changing the water rates.  This ordinance amendment will result in a zero net effect for customers this year while the city reallocates the rate percentages.  The Council will also consider a resolution to authorize a change to the loan and disbursement agreement with the Iowa Finance Authority for reissuing a loan note.

The new amount of this note is more than 16 point three million dollars.  They will be considering a resolution to set a public hearing and proposed plans along with the specifications and cost estimate for this year’s street improvement projects as well.  The Washington City Council meeting begins at 6:00 tonight in the old public library.
