The No.11 Demon softball team will play their first ranked match-up tonight when they host No. 4 Keokuk.
The Demons are 5-1 after dropping an extra inning game in the rain last week, while Keokuk is 6-1.
Head coach Angie Shrader says her girls and her see this game as any other game, because too much pressure lends itself to mistakes on the field.
The Chiefs have a team batting average of .269, but use two solid pitchers in Taylor Lemon and Chelsea Deyo. Lemon has a .7 ERA in 20 innings while in 25 innings Deyo has a 1.12 ERA.
The Demons are hitting .464 while the pitcher duo of Maddie Bohr and Ashley Rausch have a combined ERA of 1.89.
The Demons and Chiefs face off tonight in Washington.
