The Demon wrestling team traveled to the East Marshall Invitational over the weekend and finished Saturday with a 3-2 record, raising their season record to 18-3. Washington defeated Des Moines Lincoln 58-18, posted a win over South Tama 48-26, and knocked off host East Marshall 57-18. The Demons fell short to Independence 37-29 and lost to 4th ranked Union by a count of 46-20.
Individually, sophomore Fletcher Green (106) put together a fantastic weekend, going 4-0 with four falls to stay unbeaten in dual meets this year, a perfect 21-0. The Demon’s Tristan Pohren (113) was equally as dominate, improving his record to 17-4 with five wins Saturday, a major decision, technical fall, and three pins. The Demons head to Mount Pleasant Tuesday for a rescheduled match against the Panthers. (click below to download full results)
