This week is National Flu Vaccination Week and Washington County Public Health Nurse Lynn Fisher says they have flu shots still available but their supply is dropping. She says because now that we are in flu season, the demand is increasing for the shots. Fisher notes as long as they have vaccines available, they will be given to the public.
She says they have been giving the shots since the fall.
Fisher says it is still important to get your shot soon if you have not done so because it takes two weeks for the vaccine to adjust your immune system. For more information on flu shots, contact Washington County Public Health.
