Anthony Michael Koelhoeffer, the 21 year old Fairfield resident, who escaped police custody from the University Of Iowa Hospital last December, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison. Anthony committed a number of crimes during his 18 hour escape, including stealing three cars and forcing a driver of another car to take him to Davenport. After a chase in Davenport he was arrested by Davenport Police.

Koelhoeffer became angry when he saw photographers and reporter around the courthouse. He had to be restrained by sheriff’s deputies. He plead guilty to 2nd degree robbery, 3rd degree kidnapping, and 2nd degree theft.
