The Washington High School Marching Band is seeking another rating tomorrow. The band won first place at the annual Davis County Festival of Bands recently outscoring competitive class 3A and 4A bands from Grinnell, Knoxville, Fairfield and Ottumwa as well as many bands from the smaller 2A class.
The win in Davis County gives the Band an opportunity to compete in the State Marching Band Contest in Pella tomorrow. They are looking for their 11th consecutive Division I Rating.
After the competition in Pella, they will travel to Waukee for the Annual Waukee Invitational where 20 bands will be competing in Warrior Stadium for the top prize.
