The Kalona Library is receiving 14-hundred dollars worth of new children’s books thanks to a national foundation.  Library Director Anne Skaden says the Libri Foundation donates new children’s books to small, rural libraries. She says through the foundation the Kalona Library is receiving 69-new books worth 11-hundred dollars.

Skaden adds because they also raised some local money through a match program with the foundation, they are receiving six extra books at a value of around three hundred dollars. They will have a special display showing off the new books in the library.
