To prepare for upcoming November elections and 2012 elections , the Iowa Department of Transportation is reminding campaigners of the regulations and requirements about political signs.  DOT Spokeswoman Dena Gray-Fisher says the department has prepared information for candidates, party chairs, campaign workers, and election officials to prevent sign violations.

She says the more people know about the rules of sign placements should result in fewer violations.
