Older Iowans now have a chance to get better access to fresh and nutritious foods.  The Iowa Department on Aging and Iowa Secretary of Agriculture has announced that Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition applications are available for low-income older Iowans.  These coupons can be used at participating farmers markets throughout the state for fresh fruits and vegetables.

Those who qualify will receive 10 checks worth three dollars each to be used between June 1st and October 31st.  Bob Shepherd with the Washington Farmers Market says they are an authorized market that accepts these coupons.
