The Washington County Riverboat Foundation announced its Competitive Grant Awards last Wednesday for the spring of 2011.
WCRF Board President, Tim Putney says the almost $725,000 in grants are for projects around the area that will serve diverse and important needs.
Some of the larger grants awarded were $150,000 for the renovation of the historic stage and hall of St. Mary’s Parish, $74,800 to the Washington County Conservation Board for Phase 1 of Marr Park Campground and $110,000 to the Washington Community School District for classroom improvements.
