The trial of a Washington man charged with vehicular homicide is set to begin next week. Andrew Brock who was 17 at the time of the accident has been charged in the deaths of a couple from Indianola and a 19 year old from Keota. The Iowa State Patrol accident report says Brock was driving a pickup truck and failed to stop at the intersection of Highway 92 and Lexington in May of 2009.
The report also says Brock’s truck smashed into a vehicle driven by Samuel and Jacqueline Langstaff from Indianola. The couple was pronounced dead at the scene after their vehicle was pushed in front of a semi.
Travis Filben of Keota, who was a passenger in Brock’s vehicle, later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The trial for Andrew Brock will begin next week.
