Recently, the Washington County Riverboat Foundation awarded their Competitive Grant Awards. The Washington County Chamber of Commerce was one of those recipients. Washington Chamber Executive Director Tim Coffey says the money will be used for the completion of their conference room. He says they have a serving and storage cabinet that will be built to match the décor. Coffey says the Washington Economic Development Group also received a grant to enhance the electronic features of the conference room. He says he hopes with the electronic features they will be able to offer their members and the community a high-tech meeting room in which to conduct meetings.
