Today, the Washington Public Library is hosting two local musicians. Washington Public Library Director Patrick Finney says Virginia Bordwell and Millie Youngquist will be sharing different holiday pieces. Bordwell who grew up in Sioux City and has been playing the piano for almost 58 years will be playing the library’s Steinway Grand Piano. Youngquist, who is a Washington native and a teacher of 7th through 12th grade music at WACO Community Schools will be providing vocals of different holiday and winter themed music. Finney will be sharing various holiday and winter themed poetry. Finney says they are trying to have a noon‑time concert once a month to invite people in during their lunch break and he adds this event is free and open to the public.
