The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks opened the boys’ basketball season with a win over Williamsburg. Hosting former Mid-Prairie assistant Dave Schlaubaugh and the Raiders, the Golden Hawks scored their first bucket three minutes into the game with a three and they’d go on a 10-2 run and lead 15-7 after one. It was 28-15 at halftime. In the second half the Golden Hawks kept it at around a 12 point lead and they’d win 52-43. Michael Aldeman had a strong night from the outside for Mid-Prairie putting in 26 points, going 7-8 behind the arc. Now the Hawks come to Washington tonight as they take part in a girl-boy doubleheader against the Demons.
