The 4th ranked Sigourney-Keota Cobras opened the playoffs hosting West Liberty, and the Cobras used a couple of turnovers to take a four touchdown lead in at halftime, and sparked the continuous clock in the second half. Sigourney-Keota scored on their second drive starting at the Comet 47-yard line as they drove into the West Liberty red zone and Evan Hammes punched it in, one of three touchdowns for him on the night. A fumble recovery and a Hammes interception led to two touchdowns for S-K late in the second half. The second came with seven seconds left and the football at the Comet 23 on third down Tanner McClenahan connected with Eric Baetsle for the touchdown. Cobras led 28-0 at the half. They would score on their second drive in the second half to get the continuous clock and 35-0 would be your final. S-K was without their leading rusher Andrew Utterback who was out with a sprained knee, his replacement Mike Bishop went for 114 yards in the first half and had a touchdown. So the Cobras improve to 10-0 on the season they will now play Camanche who beat Davis County 22-12. The two teams will play Monday at 7pm in Sigourney.
