The Columbus Community School District met Monday evening and one of the items on the agenda was looking at when school activities can meet. Superintendent Rich Bridenstine says the district has students in a lot of activities which can take up a lot of nights. He says they are starting to have coaches using Wednesday and Sunday nights for practices, and that is causing some concern he says in the community and on the board. Bridenstine says currently there is no policy regarding whether school activities can meet on Sundays or not, so he wants the board to make a decision on the issue. Bridenstine says the board decided to wait till the next board meeting for any decision on the issue.
