The Washington Demon JV football team went to Wellman last night and came from behind to beat the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks. The Hawks led 6-0 but Kyle Roder came up with a 67 yard punt return for a touchdown to get the Demons on the board and with the two point conversion the Demons led 8-6. Mitchell Hora would score on a three yard touchdown run and with a Justin Hoffman two point conversion the Demons would win 16-12. Roder had 14-carries for 101 yards on the night and Mitchell Hora had 7-carries for 56 yards. Now the Demon varsity squad will have their home opener on Friday when they take on Keokuk.
