The Washington Demon Head Football Coach felt their first game Friday was pretty sound. Coach Randy Shrader says things looked good for a first game. The Demons beat Mid-Prairie 21-13. Now as the Demons get ready to host Keokuk on Friday Shrader says teams typically improve the most between their first and second game. After watching Friday’s game tne thing he says they do want to work on is tackling. Shrader says a lot of kids were diving at the feet trying to make tackles. It will be the Demons’ home opener this Friday.

The Demon JV football team will head back to Wellman tonight to play Mid-Prairie. Normally when the Demon varsity plays an away game the JV will host Friday’s opponent on Monday. However, Washington Athletic Director Bryce Smeins says tonight’s game will be at Mid-Prairie.
