The Washington County Conversation Board is hosting a Hunter Safety Class this week at its Education Center in Marr Park. Iowa State law requires anyone born after January 1st, 1967 to complete a hunter safety course before obtaining a permit, and this is the Conservation Board’s only summer class.  You must be 11 or older to attend, but the certification of completion is not valid until your 12th birthday.  Pre-registration is required and can be completed online at IowaDNR.gov or by calling the Washington County Conservation Center at 319.461.0341. The hunter safety class is 6-9 pm tonight through Friday, with the last class on Saturday from 8 am to Noon.
