Yesterday at 6:15am the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for western Washington, southwest Johnson, North Jefferson, and Keokuk counties. Doppler radar indicated winds were 60 miles per hour or faster as the storm swept through Washington County.  The KCII Severe Weather Action Team brought continuous coverage of the event with updates from Weather Eye the National Weather Service, and event cancellations until the warning expired at 7:15am.
